A 6" 120V Non-IC Remodel Sloped Air-Tight recessed housing. Designed for homes with sloped ceilings, this recessed housing is adjustable for ceilings with a pitch of 2/12 to 6/12. Constructed from the highest quality steel available for recessed housings, commercial grade A weled steel. An oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out). With multiple knockout entries of 1/2" & 3/4" sizes. A Non-IC rating means that this sloped remodel housing can not safely make contact with insulation, and as such should not be used in homes with insulation. If you do have insulation in your home you will need an IC rated housing, which can be found here. Being a remodel housing, it is only meant for homes where you have no access to the ceiling joist. If you do have access to the ceiling joist you will need a new work can, which can be found here.

The Non-IC rating for this housing means that you can not make contact with insulation with this housing. If you have insulation you will need an IC rated housing like the one found here. 
Safety and Features:
Featuring an oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out), a built in reflective aluminum heat shield that dissipates heat away socket, and a built in thermal protector will turn off the light, incase of improper bulb installation.
