A 6" 120V 26w fluorescent Non-IC rated Air-tight New Work housing. Constructed from high quality aluminum for both longevity and maximum heat dissipation. Being an air-tight fixture, this housing works to save you on energy costs. It does this by preventing heated and conditioned air from escaping through gaps in the fixture like it does with non air-tight fixtures. A Non-IC rating means that you can not safely install this housing in homes with insulation. If you do have insulation in your home, we recommend an IC rated housing, such as this one.(NOTE: Housing in link is a 26w fixture). A new work can is designed to be used in homes where you have access to an attic, or a ceiling joist. If you do not have access to a ceiling joist, then we recommend a remodel housing, such as this one(NOTE: Housing in link is a 13w fixture). An oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out), and there are mulitple knockouts entries of 1/2" & 3/4" sizes. UL and ETL Listed for damp locations, air-tightness, and its feed through wiring system.
