Solid Cast Brass Body, Cover and Mounting Base:
We designed the PUDX77 fixture with longevity in mind. The PUDX77 underwater light is made from solid cast brass materials that will never rust or corrode and protect against the hazards of the outdoors. Please be aware that when using underwater fixtures, you must avoid using strong acid chemicals in that body of water as it will destroy the fixtures. Recessed UL certified socket:
Taking full advantage of the flexibility and light output of the MR16, the PUDX77 unit comes with a fully adjustable, UL certified JC Bi-Pin socket and polished mirror, full cup reflector to maximize light output.
Solid Brass Mounting Base
Solid brass surface mounting base houses the hand adjustable swivel which allows you to control your lighting angle and mount your PUDX77 fixture to any flat surface.
Light Bulb Options
The PUDX77 heavy duty brass underwater fixture is designed to take advantage of the MR16 type light bulb, which we offer in both halogen and LED. Our MR16 halogen light bulbs are offered in both clear and colored options and our MR16 LED is available in cool white or warm white options.
Our underwater lights are low voltage fixtures for high efficiency lighting. Pair the PUDX77 fixture with our LED light bulbs for extra energy savings. Low voltage fixtures require a low voltage transformer.

INSTALLATION PREPARATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Please read this instruction sheet carefully.
Luminaires must be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and local codes. Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or damage to the luminaire.
SAFETY WARNING: Luminaire can become very hot, depending on lamp wattage used. Lens and metal around the lamp can become hot enough to blister/burn hands. Particular care should be taken not to place luminaires where small children can reach them, especially when high wattage lamps are used.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
THE LIGHTED LAMP IS HOT!!!
To avoid electrical shock, turn off the power at the circuit breaker before starting your installation project.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS
- Turn off/unplug and allow fixture to cool before replacing lamp.
- Lamps get hot quickly! Contact only switch/plug when turned on.
- Do not touch hot lens, guard or enclosure
- Keep lamp away from amterial that may burn
- Do not touch the lamp directly at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from the skin may damage the lamp when illuminated.
- Do not operate luminaire fitting with a missing or damaged cover.
NOTE: Always use UL recognized wire connectors.
LEAK PREVENTION
The most common cause of damage in submersible pond & fountain lights are due to user error during installation. Therefore it's crucial to choose high quality fixtures that offer multiple safeguards from user error and a strong build construction to maximize the fixture's longevity.

Underwater Lights
These are well sealed and a good quality. My electrical engineer said they were a major upgrade from the original lights that these replaced. And, thought it was possible that these would last a very long time. The old ones (purchased in 2008 from Quality lighting) leaked. These are sealed very well.

We did receive the shipment and we were happy with the service and the lights themselves were okay. However we usually get the PUD707 lights and wanted to get more light for a large commercial fountain so we ordered the PUD 77 light. We had to modify the bases a little. This is not a problem on the PUD 707. All other aspects of the lights were fine the two lenses was a nice touch and they look good. We would like to see heavier bases on the PUD77 lights.
